Yes, you can dye, color and add shades to your extensions. We strongly advise against using bleach on your extensions, as this could significantly alter their quality. There is no danger in using gentle colorings. Please note that a dyed, discolored or mechanically modified extension cannot be returned, exchanged, refunded, or even covered by our warranty policy.

We do not recommend wetting your hair extensions in chlorinated or salt water such as swimming pools, spas or oceans. Lake water is okay, but remember to always rinse your hair in the evening and apply a good moisturizing mask. Chlorine and salt could alter the quality and color of your hair extensions.

Yes, extensions may turn orange or pink after being exposed to sunscreen. The sunscreen that you apply to your body must absolutely be mineral. Regular sunscreens contain avobenzone, and upon contact with UVB rays, your extensions will change color. It is very important to use mineral sunscreen on your body when wearing hair extensions. Be sure to watch out for tanning oils, self-tanners, or even when people next to you use non-mineral sunscreen sprays.

The risk of allergy is extremely low with Haircoast extensions. However, just make sure that your client is not allergic to metal, especially nickel, if you are using micro-ring or nano-tip extensions. The balls used are made of metal, so a client allergic to metal could experience irritation. Regarding the glue, our glue is based on natural Italian keratin, and we use the best quality glue on the market. If your client is allergic to latex or any type of glue, it would be important to inform her of the risks. The chances of allergies are slim, but you should keep in mind that there is always some. If your client experiences symptoms such as tingling or other symptoms, you may advise her to take Benadryl as needed and, if symptoms persist, to contact a doctor. We are in no way responsible for allergic reactions. Please take the time to inform your customers and ask the right questions before your installation.
